Dorotheum Spring Auctions Feature Schnabel, Monet, and Schiele
From 19 to 21 May 2026, Dorotheum will host its Contemporary Week in Vienna, showcasing significant spring auctions for Modern and Contemporary Art, as well as jewellery and watches. A standout piece is Julian Schnabel's ceramic shard painting from his 'Victory Plate Paintings' series, created on the day Donald Trump lost the presidential election in 2020, with an estimated value of €180,000–260,000. The auction will also feature Claude Monet's 'London Fog' and nudes by Egon Schiele. The Contemporary Art auction is scheduled for 20 May, with Editions following on 10 June.
