Dorothea Rockburne's Solo Booth at ADAA Art Show

The ADAA's Art Show at the Park Avenue Armory features several single-artist booths, including a standout display of Dorothea Rockburne at Greenberg Van Doren. Her work 'Mozart and Mozart Upside Down and Backward' (1985-86) dominates the booth, an oil on shaped canvas measuring 89 x 115 5/8 x 4 inches. The piece explores geometry and movement with primary shapes in vibrant hues and agitated textures, recalling hermetic Cubism. Other notable solo booths include Suzan Frecon at David Zwirner and Jennifer Bartlett at Locks Gallery, the latter a four-decade survey with additions by Louise Bourgeois. The fair runs through March 11.
