The decision stems from a shifting market landscape, increasing US tariffs, challenges with algorithms, and ongoing cyberattacks. Over more than ten years, the business transitioned from a reskinning service to producing its own budget-friendly medium-format film, 35mm, and pinhole cameras. After a period of silence, the company returned with renewed hope in March 2025, but just over a year later, it is ceasing operations. While the GoodLab, an open-source 3D-printable file repository, may still be accessible, the Goodfinder app for iPhone and iPad will remain active. A closing sale offering 20% off is underway, and backorders for Goodman Zone and classic Scura DIY kits will be accepted for the next 12 days.
