Doppia Firma: 15 Designer-Artisan Duos at Milan's Galleria d'Arte Moderna

During Salone del Mobile 2017, the Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Milano hosted Doppia Firma, an exhibition pairing 15 artisans with 15 designers to create exclusive collections. Organized by Fondazione Cologni, Living Corriere della Sera, and Michelangelo Foundation, the show featured works by Simone Crestani and Emmanuel Babled (luminous bodies), Massimo Borgna and Cristina Celestino (star lanterns), La Fucina di Efesto and Oskar Zieta (mirroring monoliths), Dimitri Bähler and Maurizio Tittarelli Rubboli (iridescent ceramics), Fabrizio Travisanutto and Felix Muhrhofer (multilayer tables), Bottega Nove and Elisa Strozyk (watercolor-effect ceramics), Sara Ricciardi and Nicolò Morales (majolica stools), and Federico Pepe and Marta Cucchia (jacquard screen). Alessandra Salaris coordinated the project, with Studio Salaris handling the installation. Laila Pozzo captured double portraits of the creatives in their workshops. The exhibition highlighted the synergy between artisanal craftsmanship and industrial design, celebrating Italy's made-in-Italy heritage.
