cultural-heritage · 2026-04-26

The Doors of CHANGE initiative is set to take place from October 17 to 19, 2025, featuring 70 in-person events and more than 30 virtual experiences across 60 locations in Italy. This initiative, organized by Fondazione CHANGES and part of the PNRR CHANGES project, is supported by the Ministry of University and Research. Its goal is to improve the accessibility and sustainability of cultural heritage through activities like guided tours, workshops, performances, and digital reconstructions. Key sites include the Basilica of San Marco, Royal Palace of Caserta, and the Valley of the Temples. Institutions such as the Benedictine Monastery in Catania and the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence are participating. Most events are free or require a museum ticket, with bookings available on the Doors of Change platform. Ilaria Manzini emphasized that the initiative seeks to revitalize connections with cultural heritage.
