Donato Piccolo's 'Thinking the Unthinkable' Explores AI Through Kinetic Sculptures
Artist Donato Piccolo has unveiled a new collection of kinetic sculptures that explores the interplay between technology and the environment, influenced by artificial intelligence. This series creatively merges art and scientific exploration while using irony to challenge perceptions and clarify technological complexities. One featured piece showcases an automaton with the thought-provoking assertion about human understanding and imagination. Curated by Isabella Indolfi and in partnership with Russian institutions like the National Centre for Contemporary Arts, the exhibition will first be displayed at the Youth Education Center of the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg before moving to New York on December 7, and later to Rome and Dundee in 2018.
