Donatello to Michelangelo Sculpture Exhibition Opens at Castello Sforzesco
A new exhibition titled "Il Corpo e l’Anima: Da Donatello a Michelangelo. Scultura italiana del Rinascimento" is set to open at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan on July 21 and will run until October 24, 2021. This event follows its previous showing at the Louvre, which concluded on June 21. Curators Marc Bormand, Beatrice Paolozzi Strozzi, and Francesca Tasso have assembled 120 pieces from prestigious collections, including works from the Metropolitan Museum and the Prado. The exhibition features significant Italian Renaissance sculptures and includes a video performance called "Mater strangosciàs" by Giovanni Testori in the Sala degli Scarlioni. Milan's mayor, Beppe Sala, described it as a top summer attraction.
