Dominique Lévy to represent Carol Rama internationally

market-auction · 2026-05-05

Dominique Lévy has revealed a unique partnership with the Archivio Carol Rama to represent the renowned Italian artist in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The collaboration also includes the Isabella Bortolozzi Galerie in Berlin, which will further advocate for Rama's international legacy. This initiative underscores the growing interest in Italian artists within the global art scene, as Lévy aligns with prominent galleries like Hauser & Wirth, Matthew Marks, Michael Werner, and Larry Gagosian, who are also showcasing Italian creatives. Lévy, a co-founder of L&M Arts alongside Robert Mnuchin, represents notable figures such as Enrico Castellani and collaborates with artists like Alberto Burri and Lucio Fontana. Carol Rama, celebrated with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003, had a significant retrospective titled "La Passione secondo Carol Rama" from October 2014 to August 2016 across various prestigious venues, including MACBA in Barcelona and the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, with an upcoming exhibition at GAM in Turin. To mark this collaboration, Lévy plans thematic group exhibitions exploring Rama's connections with European and American avant-gardes, culminating in a solo show at her New York gallery in late 2017.
