Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire Opens Le Bois des Chambres Hotel

The Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire, a 35-hectare estate in the Loire Valley UNESCO World Heritage site, has inaugurated Le Bois des Chambres, a former farmhouse converted into an artistic and natural hotel designed by the architecture firm Construire. The hotel features open views connecting interior and exterior, and will host sculptures, installations, and photographs by international artists. The estate's Centre d'Arts et de Nature hosts two major annual events: the International Garden Festival in spring-summer, selecting 20 authors via open call to create artistic gardens, and Chaumont-Photo-sur-Loire exhibitions in autumn-winter. Permanent installations in the park include works by Giuseppe Penone, Patrick Dougherty, Anne and Patrick Poirier, Cornelia Konrads, Tadashi Kawamata, and others. Inside the castle, seasonal exhibitions focus on botanical and environmental art, featuring artists such as Marinette Cueco, Makoto Azuma, Isa Barbier, and Léa Barbazanges. The estate receives over half a million visitors annually.
