Dolomiti Contemporanee Returns with Two Major Exhibitions in the Dolomites
Dolomiti Contemporanee (DC) has launched two exhibitions in the Dolomites. At the Nuovo Spazio di Casso, 'La lama di Procopio' opened with collector Giorgio Fasol distributing ice cream, referencing local tradition. The show features works by 22 international artists from the AGI Verona Collection, curated by Gianluca D'Incà Levis and Giovanna Repetto. It explores experimental painting, word-based landscape visions, and video installations on time's impact on territory. In May, DC curated 'Fuocoapaesaggio' at Forte di Monte Ricco in Pieve di Cadore, invited by Fondazione Centro Studi Tiziano and Fondazione Museo dell'Occhiale. This exhibition addresses landscape and the need for renewal, contrasting natural and artificial elements. A highlight is a video of a burning tree in the Santa Barbara chapel. The show also launches 'Tiziano Contemporaneo', where artists reinterpret Titian's works by deconstructing composition, materials, color, and mortality. Both exhibitions continue DC's mission since 2011 to foster dialogue between landscape and inhabitants through contemporary art.
