DOLCISSIMArte brings pastry tastings to Turin galleries for third edition

From November 8 to 10, 2024, Turin hosts the third edition of DOLCISSIMArte, a festival dedicated to Piedmontese artisan pastry. For the first time, the event partners with galleries from the TAG circuit, which will offer mignon pastry tastings on Saturday, November 9. Participating galleries include A Pick Gallery, Crag – Chiono Reisova Art Gallery, Febo e Dafne, Gagliardi e Domke, In Arco, Metroquadro, Roccatre, Simóndi, and Weber&Weber. The festival also features live pastry demonstrations in 13 shop windows in the city center, a gourmet tram (line 5) with tastings and guided tours by GIA Ascom, and Ape Car ambassadors visiting central piazzas. Maria Luisa Coppa, President of Ascom Confcommercio Torino, stated the event aims to honor artisan pastry through synergy between commerce, art, culture, and food. Of Italy's 17,000 pastry shops, about 1,400 are in Piedmont, with over 1,000 artisan; Turin alone has nearly 600, including historic establishments like Fiorio, Stratta, and Pfatisch (which has a chocolate museum). Pastry chef Giovanni dell'Agnese, vice president of Ascom Epat Torino, emphasized the artistic dimension of the profession.
