Dolce & Gabbana launch first luxury fashion NFT collection 'Collezione Genesi'
Dolce & Gabbana, the renowned Italian fashion label, has made its debut in the NFT market with 'Collezione Genesi', featuring a blend of six distinctive digital and physical pieces that merge haute couture with virtual aspects. The lineup consists of three dresses and three jewelry items: The Doge Crown, The Lion Crown, The Impossible Jacket, The Impossible Tiara, Dress from a Dream, and The Glass Suit. This collection was launched in partnership with the digital luxury platform UNXD during a spectacular fashion event in Venice, showcasing 100 outfits, 100 models, and 100 gondolas in Piazza San Marco. The online auction on UNXD's platform begins on September 9, 2021, requiring bids from interested collectors. This initiative marks Dolce & Gabbana's inaugural step into the metaverse, following the remarkable rise of NFTs in the art sector, highlighted by Beeple's 'Everydays: The First 5000 Days' fetching $69.3 million at Christie's.
