dOGUMENTA: New York exhibition for dogs curated by a dog
The first-ever art show designed for dogs, called dOGUMENTA, took place at Brookfield Place in New York. This unique event was curated by a Yorkshire terrier named Rocky, thanks to his owner, art critic Jessica Dawson. Since 2013, Dawson has brought Rocky to different exhibitions, observing how he engages with art. The artworks were set up at a level that dogs could easily access, allowing them to explore, eat, drink, or even relieve themselves. A total of ten artists participated, including Eleanna Anagnos and Graham Caldwell, with standout pieces like Eric Hibit's 'Harmony' and a dog-sized lounge by Caldwell. The event received coverage from Artribune in August 2017.
