Documentary 'X sempre assenti' Chronicles Italian Rock Band Verdena

A new documentary titled 'X sempre assenti' offers an intimate look into the lives of the Italian rock band Verdena. Directed by Francesco Fei, a longtime friend and collaborator who shot iconic music videos for the band including 'Valvonauta' (1999), 'Viba' (2000), and 'Angie' (2007), the film was presented on June 16 at the Biografilm Festival in Bologna. It follows band members Alberto Ferrari, his brother, and bassist Roberta Sammarelli through their daily routines in Albino, a town in the province of Bergamo where they have always lived and worked. The documentary captures both private moments and preparations for their 'Volevo magia' tour, following the release of their latest studio album 'Volevo magia' on September 23, after a seven-year hiatus since the two volumes of 'Endkadenz'. The film provides an unfiltered portrait of the band, known for their spontaneous and intellectually honest approach. Additionally, the band has released a colored vinyl reprint of their EPs and announced summer tour dates, including July 1 at Umbria che spacca in Perugia, August 26 at TOdays in Turin, and September 23 at Spring Attitude in Rome.
