Documentary 'The Ability to Dream' Chronicles Galleria Continua's History
Galleria Continua, founded in 1990 by Mario Cristiani, Lorenzo Fiaschi, and Maurizio Rigillo, has expanded from its original location in a former cinema in San Gimignano to multiple international venues. The gallery opened in Beijing in 2004, Les Moulins near Paris in 2007, Havana in 2008, and later in Rome, São Paulo, and Paris. In 2021, it launched a pop-up space inside the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai. To celebrate its ongoing commitment to contemporary art, the gallery produced a documentary titled 'The Ability to Dream,' featuring artists such as Ai Weiwei, Daniel Buren, Antony Gormley, Carsten Höller, JR, and Anish Kapoor. The film was produced by Sky Arte and TIWI. A preview screening will take place on September 24 at the San Gimignano space, followed by a broadcast on Sky Arte on September 25 at 9:15 PM.
