Documentary on Martin Parr Premieres at Jeu de Paume

A new documentary on the late British photographer Martin Parr (1952-2025) is being screened at the Jeu de Paume in Paris until May 24, 2026. The film follows Parr during his photographic wanderings and explores his lifelong obsession with the medium. It features interviews with his wife, gallerists, and fellow Magnum photographers, including those who witnessed his controversial entry into the agency in 1994. The documentary traces Parr's evolution from early black-and-white work to his iconic pop-color images, revealing his sharp critique of Western habits and lifestyles. The film is punctuated by musical interludes from the English rock scene. Parr died in December 2025.
