festival-fair · 2026-04-26

The documentary 'Arte vs. Guerra – Banksy e C215 a Borodyanka' by Michele Pinto, produced by 3D Produzioni srl, will premiere on Friday, September 13 at Teatro Litta in Milan as part of the 10th International Documentary Festival Visioni dal Mondo (September 12–15). The 50-minute film focuses on the preservation of street art by French artist C215 and British artist Banksy in Borodyanka, Ukraine, a city devastated by Russian invasion. C215's works depict Russian tanks, birds on bombed walls, and Ukrainian figures including fallen soldier Dmytro Kotsiubaylo and an elderly couple killed in bombings. Banksy's murals show a gymnast performing a vault on rubble and a child defeating a giant, evoking David and Goliath. The film features voices of conflict victims and young Italian restorers from REA working to safeguard the artworks. The festival, founded and directed by Francesco Bizzarri with artistic direction by Maurizio Nichetti, presents 38 Italian and international documentaries across three Milan venues: Teatro Litta, Cineteca Milano Arlecchino, and Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci. The festival theme is 'Non c'è più tempo' (There's No More Time), addressing urgent contemporary issues.
