Documentary 'Mind Zero' Explores Nancy Cadogan's Creative Process

A documentary titled 'Mind Zero – in conversation with Nancy Cadogan (2019)', directed by Italian filmmaker Dalia Simonetti, offers an immersive portrait of Anglo-American painter Nancy Cadogan (b. 1979). Released in conjunction with Cadogan's solo exhibition at London's Saatchi Gallery (September 9–22, 2019), the film blends video portrait and studio visit formats to reveal the artist's creative process and domestic life. Simonetti describes the work as providing a 'three-dimensional journey' behind Cadogan's art and poetics, functioning as a 'sounding board' for an immersive rather than merely informative portrait. Cadogan's works also feature in a smaller exhibition titled 'Footnotes' at the Saatchi Gallery, running until October 6, 2019, concurrent with the British Art Fair.
