Documenta 14 Launches Film Series on Greek Public TV
Documenta 14 has started to reveal its programming through a weekly film series on Greek public television. Since early 2017, ERT2, the Greek public broadcaster that was closed in 2013 due to financial issues and later reinstated after public outcry, has been airing Keimena every Monday at midnight. Curated by Hila Peleg and Vassily Bourikas, the series showcases documentaries and experimental fiction that reflect the curatorial goals of Documenta 14. There is no set end date for the broadcasts, and films can be viewed online for a week post-airing. The Documenta website also offers the initial minutes of each film with subtitles in German, English, and Greek. The selection features works from 18 filmmakers across various countries. Documenta 14 is set to open on April 8 in Athens and June 10 in Kassel.
