DMA Acquires Six Works from Dallas Art Fair; Alserkal Names Rue Kothari Design Miami Dubai Director
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) has acquired six artworks from the 2026 Dallas Art Fair via the Dallas Art Fair Foundation + DMA Acquisition Fund. The selected artists—Nicole Eisenman, Gloria Klein, Caroline Monnet, and Raymond Saunders—represent Indigenous, LGBTQ, women, and African diaspora viewpoints. Since its inception in 2016, the fund has contributed 78 pieces to the DMA’s collection, supported by over $1 million in funding. Additionally, Rue Kothari has been appointed as Director of Design Miami Dubai for its inaugural Middle East edition in early 2027. An “Art Month” lasting five weeks will commence on April 18, showcasing Shilpa Gupta’s installation. Finland has joined more than 20 European nations in opposing Russia’s involvement in the 2026 Venice Biennale.
