Divergenti Festival: Online Free Trans Film Festival Returns

The tenth edition of the Divergenti festival, focused on 'trans migrations', is held online for free from Bologna. Films are available on docasa.it, a platform created by DER – Documentaristi dell'Emilia Romagna. The festival is conceived and organized by M.I.T. – Movimento Identità Trans, with artistic direction by Nicole De Leo and Porpora Marcasciano. It offers a selection of the best national and international trans-themed cinema and audiovisual production, along with meetings and conferences, aiming to promote knowledge of transgender issues, counter barriers and prejudices, and stimulate narratives beyond stereotypes. An exclusive trailer is shown for one of the festival's absolute premieres: the documentary 'I Tanti Triangoli Rosa' by Italian photographer and photojournalist based in Madrid, Luca Gaetano Pira. The film originates from the homonymous photographic project and tells the stories of LGBTQI community members who suffered persecution, imprisonment, and torture due to their sexual orientation under the military dictatorships of Spain, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay.
