Divago Festival Returns to Genoa for Third Edition Focused on Urban Regeneration

festival-fair · 2026-04-26

The upcoming Divago Festival, themed Urban Art Power, is set to take place from September 26 to 29, 2024, in the historic Jewish ghetto of Genoa, specifically along Via del Campo. Established in 2019 by Mixta, this third edition will feature artists such as Chiara Mecenero, Alice Paltrinieri, and Elias Cafmeyer, chosen by a selection committee that includes Mixta. Collaborations with local communities and Professor Lorenzo Domaneschi from the University of Milan Bicocca are integral to the festival. Noteworthy projects include Cafmeyer’s striking 6x3 meter poster addressing a new supermarket, which has incited protests. The event will also include pop-up activities and discussions focused on urban regeneration, highlighting the area's shift from poverty to a multicultural hub.
