Disney's Trulli Tales Animated Series Set in Alberobello's Trulli

Disney's new animated series 'Trulli Tales. Le avventure dei Trullaleri' is set in the trulli of Alberobello, Puglia, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996. The series follows four young apprentice chefs—Ring, Sun, Zip, and Stella—who attend the School of Cooking and Magic in Trulliland. Created by sisters Maria Elena and Fiorella Congedo from Lecce, Disney acquired the rights for broadcast in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Inspired by an illustrated book from Congedo Editore, the show combines magic and Puglian cuisine. The protagonists use kitchen utensils as magic wands to thwart the villain Copperpot, with guidance from Nonnatrulla's talking book that opens with a drop of olive oil. The series aims to promote healthy eating habits, featuring ingredients like vegetables, legumes, and fruit. Maria Elena Congedo expressed hope that children will discover Trullolandia is real and in Puglia, exporting its essence and simplicity. 'Trulli Tales' airs daily at 7:45 PM from December 11 on Disney Junior (Sky channel 611) and will air on Rai YoYo in spring. It is already airing on Disney Channel France and Gloobinho in Brazil.
