Diriyah Art Futures Opens Call for Emerging New Media Artists 2026-2027

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Diriyah Art Futures (DAF) has opened applications for its third Emerging New Media Artists Programme. This year-long residency, fully funded, targets artists aged 35 and under, with a preference for those from the Middle East and North Africa. In collaboration with France's Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains, the programme offers state-of-the-art equipment, a production budget, guidance from top international digital artists, and various seminars. It includes a three-month thematic study on topics like technology, climate, and memory in the Arab world, followed by six months dedicated to production and mentorship. Applications must be submitted by May 31, 2026, with the residency starting in October 2026. DAF aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a center for digital and new media art.
