Dior Museum Opens at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris

The newly restored Dior flagship at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris has reopened after two years of renovations, featuring a museum dedicated to Christian Dior. The 10,000-square-meter space includes a monobrand store, restaurant, pastry shop, three gardens, and La Galerie museum designed by scenographer Nathalie Crinière. Highlights include a recreation of Dior's office, an atelier, video projections, and a spiral staircase wrapped in a 'Diorama' of 1,500 3D-printed garments and accessories. The renovation was led by architect Peter Marino, who incorporated neoclassical style and floral elements, including Rose II by Isa Genzken. Christian Dior originally opened his maison at this address on December 15, 1946, after earlier ventures as an art gallerist with Jacques Bonjean and Pierre Colle, where he exhibited artists like Picasso, Braque, Matisse, Dalí, and others.
