Dior designs uniforms for Gallerie dell'Accademia staff in Venice

Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice has partnered with Maison Dior to create elegant uniforms for its staff, continuing a trend of fashion houses designing attire for museum personnel. The uniforms include a tailored jacket and trousers in high-quality wool, a white shirt, a caban coat, a tie for men, and a silk scarf for women featuring the museum's green and red logo. Director Giulio Manieri Elia stated that the collaboration reflects the close connection between art and fashion and supports the museum's renewal efforts. Previous examples include Vivienne Westwood's uniforms for Milan's Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia (2018), Trussardi for Pinacoteca di Brera, Miuccia Prada for Fondazione Prada, Giorgio Armani for Armani Silos, and Gucci for the Achille Bonito Oliva exhibition at Castello di Rivoli. Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele designed sage-green looks for the exhibition's 'angeli custodi' (guardian angels) to highlight their importance.
