Dinamo’s Arizona typeface campaign stars horsegiirL in OOH print push

publication · 2026-04-27

Type foundry Dinamo has launched its first out-of-home print campaign for the Arizona typeface, featuring Berlin-based DJ and singer horsegiirL. The campaign includes billboards and fold-out posters across Berlin, London, and New York, with photography by Tereza Mundilová and art direction by Dinamo and Veryes. The typeface, originally designed by Elias Hanzer in 2021, is a sans-to-serif superfamily. This month, Dinamo released two new compressed and condensed subfamilies. The campaign also includes a variable font karaoke component and a self-published type specimen via Dinamo Editions, designed as five loose sheets that double as posters. Johannes Breyer, co-founder of Dinamo, explained that horsegiirL was chosen for her embodiment of the typeface's duality, being half human, half horse. The campaign aims to bring the typeface into physical spaces, moving beyond social media.
