Digitalive 2023: VR, AI, and Techno-Magic at Rome's Mattatoio
The sixth installment of Digitalive, part of the Romaeuropa Festival, will take place at the Mattatoio di Testaccio in Rome from September 27 to October 8, 2023. Curated by Federica Patti, this year's program delves into the realms of art, cutting-edge technologies, AI, and virtual installations. It kicks off on September 27 with the VR performance 'Real Heroes' by Mauro Lamanna and Aguilera Justiniano, which portrays fathers separated from their children in Italy, Greece, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. Additionally, from October 6 to 8, RUFA students will showcase three VR installations themed around 'techno-magic.' Singaporean artist Choy Ka Fai's 'Unbearable Darkness' will be featured from September 29 to October 1. The festival concludes on October 8 with the Re:Humanism award ceremony and performances by Luca Pagan and Albert.DATA.
