The digital revolution, driven by cryptocurrency and NFT booms, has transformed the art world. In 2021, NFT sales on Ethereum surged to $25 billion from $95 million in 2020. Opensea, a peer-to-peer marketplace, hit record daily sales in 2022. Notable NFT sales include Pak's 'The Merge' for $91.8 million on Nifty Gateway and Beeple's 'Everydays: The First 5000 Days' for $69 million at Christie's. Auction houses like Sotheby's launched Sotheby's Metaverse, curated by Pak, while Meta's vision showed Henri Rousseau's painting coming to life. Cryptovoxels hosts galleries like 'Second Lives' featuring Beeple, Fewocious, and Pak.
