Diego Quispe Tito Scholarship for Painting Restoration Specialists at Prado Museum

The Museo Nacional del Prado and Peru's Ministry of Foreign Affairs have launched the Diego Quispe Tito scholarship for Peruvian painting restoration specialists. The six-month residency runs from October 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027, at the Prado's Restoration Workshop. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Conservation and Restoration (painting specialty) completed before 2022, with at least three years of documented experience. The scholarship covers round-trip airfare Lima-Madrid, visa support, health insurance, and a €15,000 stipend (€2,500/month). Applications are submitted online via the Centro Cultural Inca Garcilaso website from April 30 to May 15, 2026. Selection involves pre-screening, online interviews (May 16-30), and final adjudication on June 15, 2026. The committee includes two Prado representatives and three Peruvian experts. The scholarship is funded by the Fundación Obra Pía de los Pizarro.
