Diego Gualandris and Riccardo Sala's 'Caradrio' at Tile Project Space, Milan
Tile Project Space in Milan presents 'Caradrio', a two-person exhibition featuring works by Diego Gualandris (born 1993 in Alzano Lombardo) and Riccardo Sala (born 1989 in Milan). The show emerges from a long-distance dialogue between the artists, who developed a dreamlike scenario over recent months. The exhibition comprises a balanced selection of wall-mounted works, including paintings and two sculptures. Key pieces include Sala's pastel-on-paper 'Zeta' (2016) and tempera-on-plaster 'Abitante del settimo piano' (2017), as well as Gualandris's fantastical creature 'Silfo' (2018), made from cornstarch, salt dough, corn starch, stucco, tempera, enamel, and acrylic. This work acts as a counterpoint to Sala's ceramic ostensory 'Buchino nero' (2018). The exhibition is curated by Ginevra Bria, an art critic and curator at Isisuf – International Institute of Futurism Studies in Milan, who specializes in Latin American contemporary art.
