Diego Giacometti retrospective opens at Fondazione Luigi Rovati in Milan
In Milan, the Fondazione Luigi Rovati showcases 'Diego. L’altro Giacometti', an exhibition honoring Swiss sculptor Diego Giacometti (1902–1985), who was the younger sibling of Alberto Giacometti. Curated by Casimiro Di Crescenzo in collaboration with PLVR Zurich, the exhibition occupies two floors. The lower level displays Giacometti's creations alongside the Etruscan art collection, while the upper floor simulates a home environment. It features four distinct sections: 'Tra scultura e design', 'Mobili e oggetti', 'Bestiario', and 'Diego come modello'. Notable pieces include 'Lionne' (1931), 'Table basse “Carcasse” modèle à la chauve-souris' (1975), and 'Lanterne à quatre lumières' (1983). The accompanying catalog, produced by Johan & Levi, contains family letters and essays.
