Dice Kayek wins Jameel Prize 3 at V&A

On December 10, 2013, the Jameel Prize 3, which comes with a £25,000 award, was given to Dice Kayek, a Turkish fashion label founded by sisters Ece and Ayse Ege. Their winning collection, titled Istanbul Contrast, draws inspiration from the vibrant artistic and architectural heritage of Istanbul. This esteemed biennial prize honors contemporary creators influenced by Islamic art traditions. At the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, an exhibition will feature Dice Kayek alongside nine other finalists, including Faig Ahmed and Nasser Al Salem. This showcase will be available to the public until April 21, 2014.
