Diango Hernández's 'Olaísmo' Filters Reality Through Glass at FL Gallery Milan

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Conceptual artist Diango Hernández (Cuba, 1970) presents 'Olaísmo' at FL Gallery | Wizard in Milan, a solo exhibition that transforms reality through a semi-transparent filter inspired by the glass door of his Düsseldorf apartment. The show features two wave-shaped metal sculptures and thirteen new oil paintings, all characterized by blurred, intimate visions that merge domestic space with the artist's recurring motif of the Cuban sea. Concurrently, the gallery launches Rue Saffi, a line of T-shirts printed with patterns from the exhibition, alongside limited-edition Polaroids of Miami Beach reworked by Hernández. The exhibition runs in 2022 at Via Saffi 6, Milan.
