American actress Diane Keaton has died at her home in California at age 79. Born Diane Hall, she rose to fame in the 1970s and became one of cinema's most beloved stars. Her career began on Broadway in 1968 as an understudy for the musical Hair, where she later revealed she struggled with bulimia. Keaton had a long artistic and personal relationship with Woody Allen, starring in hits such as Play It Again, Sam, Manhattan, and Annie Hall, for which she won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1977. She also appeared in Allen's Sleeper, Interiors, Love and Death, Radio Days, and Manhattan Murder Mystery. Keaton is known for using her own wardrobe on set, notably in Annie Hall. She played Kay Adams in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. Keaton never married but had long relationships with Allen, Warren Beatty, and Al Pacino.
