Dezeen rounds up seven boat interiors from superyachts to houseboats
Dezeen has published a lookbook featuring seven boat interiors that demonstrate functional creativity in maritime design. The roundup includes the 220-metre Orient Express Corinthian sailing yacht in France, designed by Maxime d'Angeac with work from 2,000 artisans; the Entourage superyacht in Canada by Burdifilek and Damien Yachting, featuring blue hues and fumed oak window seats; the Y9 sailing yacht in Germany by Norm Architects with a pared-back interior; a residential suite on The World private yacht in the USA by Studio Ahead, assembled in stages as the yacht traveled; the Sneci houseboat on Lake Tisza in Hungary by Tamás Bene, inspired by local fishing boats and clad in redwood and thermowood; the Fàng Sōng solar-powered houseboat in Berlin by Crossboundaries, with bright yellow and red interior and foldable furniture; and the Kon-Tiki boat in Chile by Guillermo Acuña, redesigned for his uncle with a wood-clad interior and decorative skylight.
