Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize 2022 shortlist announced with four finalists

The Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize for 2022 has announced four finalists: Deana Lawson, Gilles Peress, Jo Ractliffe, and Anastasia Samoylova. The winner, who will take home £30,000, will be announced on May 12, 2022, while each finalist will receive £5,000. Their works are set to be showcased at The Photographers’ Gallery in London from March 25 to June 12, 2022. Lawson's piece, 'Centropy,' includes choreographed portraits; Peress's work, 'Whatever You Say, Say Nothing' (2021), focuses on Northern Ireland; Ractliffe's 'Photographers 1980s – now' (2021) features South African landscapes, and Samoylova's 'FloodZone' explores environmental issues in U.S. coastal cities. The jury includes Yto Barrada, Jessica Dimson, Yasufumi Nakamori, Anne-Marie Beckmann, and chair Brett Rogers. Last year's winner was Can Fei for 'Blueprints.'
