Design ni Dukaan completes geometric Gujarat house referencing Corbusier and Doshi

Design ni Dukaan has finalized Amaltash, a 12,000-square-foot home located in Navsari, Gujarat, India, drawing inspiration from Le Corbusier and Balkrishna Doshi. This three-story residence incorporates beige geometric shapes surrounding a landscaped courtyard, providing protection from the summer heat. Founder Veeram Shah's design adheres to Vastu Shastra principles. The exterior features Dholpuri, a custom finish created on-site. Upon entering, one finds living areas that open to a patio, along with a mandir, guest room, dining space, two kitchens, and a pantry. The first floor contains four bedrooms and a piano lounge, while the second floor boasts a terrace and wellness lounge. Interiors showcase custom furniture and items from emerging designers. The courtyard was enhanced by landscape designers Sanyogita Gaikwad and Soham Changediya, with photography by Ishita Sitwala.
