Design Miami expands with Seoul exhibition and global events for 20th anniversary
Design Miami is marking its 20th year with a new global initiative called Design Miami. In Situ, kicking off in Aspen and Seoul. A standout feature of this initiative is a two-week exhibition titled 'Illuminated: A Spotlight on Korean Design,' set to run from September 1 to 14 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, designed by Zaha Hadid. This exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Seoul Design Foundation, will showcase both contemporary and historical works from Korean designers, curated by Hyeyoung Cho, the chairperson of the Korea Association of Art & Design. CEO Jen Roberts emphasized the venue's role as a significant global architectural and cultural landmark. Other events include Design Miami.Paris from October 22–26 and the 21st Design Miami in Miami Beach in December, with Aspen's event happening in late July.
