Design Doha Biennial Launches in February 2024
Qatar Museums is excited to announce the inaugural Design Doha biennial happening from February 24 to 28, 2024, in Msheireb Downtown, Doha. Glenn Adamson is directing the event, while Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani is its chair. Visitors can look forward to over 20 activities, including 'Arab Design Now,' curated by Rana Beiruti at M7, showcasing more than 70 Arab designers from February 24 to August 5, 2024. Other exhibitions will feature 'Colors of the City,' 'Weaving Songs,' and '100/100 HUNDRED BEST ARABIC POSTERS Round 04.' Permanent installations by Choi Byung Hoon and Joris Laarman will also be on display. The Design Doha Forum will focus on inclusive urban design, and there will be opportunities for emerging talent, including graphic design calls and the Design Doha Prize.
