Dérive and Nike Yoga Launch Second Edition 'Passaggi' with Music and Visual Art

digital · 2026-04-27

The second edition of Dérive, titled 'Passaggi', is a collaboration between Dérive and Nike Yoga. Founded by Germano Centorbi (artistic director of Ortigia Sound System) and Marco Gardenale, Dérive originally began as a site-specific live performance experience in art foundations but shifted to digital during the first lockdown. The project promotes self-awareness through contemporary disciplines, combining yoga with music and visual arts. The current edition features three live sessions led by Marco Migliavacca, each with a collaborating artist. The first episode, 'Folding and Unfolding', included an ambient soundscape by producer and composer Palazzi D'Oriente for a Hatha/Vinyasa session. The next session on December 10 will feature singer-songwriter Sylvia reciting poems and lullabies for Yin Yoga. On December 17, visual artist Luca Giudici will present a video for Hatha/Vinyasa. In an interview, Migliavacca discusses how streaming changes the teacher-practitioner relationship, emphasizing the need to adapt to the medium and explore cross-pollination between disciplines.
