Denise Tantucci on Acting, Nanni Moretti, and Directing Ambitions

Italian actress Denise Tantucci (born 1997 in Fano) discusses her career in an interview with Artribune. She debuted as Nina in the TV series Braccialetti Rossi (2014, Rai1) and gained recognition for the film Likemeback (2018) by Leonardo Guerra Seràgnoli, presented at Locarno Film Festival, for which she co-wrote the screenplay. In 2021, she acted in Nanni Moretti's Tre Piani, the only Italian film in competition at Cannes. Her latest film is Hotspot – Amore senza rete (2024), where she plays Tina, a dancer balancing ambition and love. Tantucci recalls Moretti's meticulous directing style, requiring many takes and detailed descriptions. She values the freedom to co-write her character in Likemeback.
