DEMO Festival 2027 open call: motion designers invited to submit work for global public screens

The DEMO Festival 2027, established by Studio Dumbar/DEPT®, has begun accepting free entries from motion designers across the globe. This festival reimagines public advertising screens into a 24-hour, curated, non-commercial exhibition. In the previous year, the event expanded to 15 cities in Europe and North America, such as Los Angeles and Vancouver, receiving over 5,000 submissions from nearly 2,000 designers in 90 countries. The upcoming edition will showcase works in urban areas and train stations in cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Antwerp, Brussels, Barcelona, Madrid, Warsaw, Vancouver, and Tokyo. Curators include Liza Enebeis, Connor Campbell, Tim Rodenbröker, Koos Breen, and 3D studio Yonk. Additionally, the festival will host talks, workshops, and guided tours at Amsterdam Central Station, with partners like Global, blowUP media, Adtrackmedia, Warexpo, and NEORT.
