Demin's Obsessive Drawings at Outsider Art Fair Paris

festival-fair · 2026-04-23

The Outsider Art Fair, held in parallel with FIAC at Atelier Richelieu in Paris from October 17–20, 2019, featured recent drawings by Demin, a pseudonymous artist who is also a practicing psychoanalyst. Demin has recently begun drawing obsessively, counting each work, and his automatic, surrealist-inspired process produces monstrous figures with exaggerated sexual attributes. He finds his own creations disconcerting yet vital, refusing to interpret them, allowing an ambiguous symbolism to speak for itself. The artist will have a solo exhibition at Halle Saint-Pierre in Paris from November 1–30, 2019. The works were fictively acquired by Claire Margat and presented by Galerie Frédéric Moisan.
