Delvis (Un)Limited's 'The Romance of Fragility' exhibition pushes glass design boundaries at Milan Design Week 2026
'The Romance of Fragility,' an exhibition by Delvis (Un)Limited, will open on 21 April 2026 at Via Fatebenefratelli 9 in Milan. Curated by Valentina Ciuffi, founder of Studio Vedèt, the showcase features six designers exploring the properties of glass. Among the works, Johan Pertl's 'Erosion' side table mimics coastal erosion with pink glass flowing from marble, while Familiar Form (Myeonga Seo and Marie Kolářová) transforms leftover Bohemian cut glass into traditional nesting vases. Serim Kwack's wall hangings imprint everyday items onto industrial glass, leaving ethereal traces. Tino Seubert's 'Ferric Glass' lighting and Inderjeet Sandhu's 'Merge' candlesticks also feature, alongside Maria Tyakina's contributions. Space Caviar designed the installation with glass bricks to foster a dialogue about materiality. Ciuffi emphasizes that fragility encourages a careful approach to collectible design, viewing this project as preliminary research into fragility that could extend to other materials like paper. The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 7pm until 26 April 2026 during Milan Design Week.
