Delvaux flagship store in Brussels fuses design and art

architecture-design · 2026-05-05

Delvaux, the Belgian luxury leather goods maker and oldest producer in its segment, has reopened its flagship store at Boulevard de Waterloo 27 in Brussels with a new museographic project showcasing pieces from its collection. The collective project was realized by Italian studio Vudafieri Saverino Partners in concert with president Jean Marc Loubier, CEO Marco Probst, and artistic director Christina Zeller. The interior features unique and rare pieces by top 20th-century Belgian designers Jules Wabbes, Pieter de Bruyne, and Renaat Braem, alongside lighting creations by Gino Sarfatti and contemporary works by Nathalie Dewez, Alain Berteau, and Ben Storms. German artist Jan Kath's 'cancelled' carpets are also included. The renovation began a few years ago, driven by a passion for art evident in the house's rich collection of Magritte works. The new layout also incorporates photographic works by Argentine artist Romina Ressia, staging neo-Flemish portraits alongside kitsch artifacts in a surrealist dimension.
