Delfina Foundation Expands Global Reach Through Partnerships and Residency Program

institutional · 2026-04-20

The Delfina Foundation has hosted more than 300 artists through its residency program over the last ten years. Under Aaron Cezar's leadership, the foundation has formed partnerships this year with Saudi Arabia's Art Jameel, where Cezar will serve as senior adviser, and collaborated on an exhibition featuring Ala Jounis. Additional collaborations include the Dhaka Art Summit, where the Samdani Art Award winner receives a residency, Frieze Art Fair, whose Artist Award winner gets to stay at the London headquarters, and SongEun ArtSpace in Seoul, where Cezar curated a show of former residents. The foundation's focus has broadened from the MENA region to include the Global South, with 12 alumni featured in the most recent Venice Biennale. Its London gallery continues to host exhibitions, talks, and performances, with residents often cooking for each other in the kitchen.
