December 2025 Performance Art Highlights Across Italy

In December 2025, Italy will host an extensive array of performance art events. Genoa's Teatro della Tosse will showcase the international dance series Resistere e Creare, featuring three performances: Davide Vallerosso's debut, Danza cannibale, on December 5, Salvo Lombardo's Birdsong on December 6, and Hervé Koubi's Les nuits barbares on December 19-20. The Biennale di Venezia will present Luciano Berio's Coro (1974-76) at Teatro La Fenice on December 6-7, with choreography by Wayne McGregor. The Circumnavigando Festival, celebrating its 25th edition, will take place from December 6-31 in various Genoa venues, highlighting the theme 'fragile' with 14 participating companies from Italy, Belgium, France, and Catalonia. In Parma, Tutti Matti sotto Zero (December 6 to January 6) will feature international circus acts, including Les Dodos by Le P'tit Cirk. Milan's Teatro fACTORy32 will host Corpi sul palco on December 13, showcasing performances from artists such as Luisa Cassandra Bruni and others. In Spoleto, EaT – Enogastronomia a Teatro will merge culinary experiences with performance from December 4-7, featuring Mama I'm Coming Home by Sesti/Contini. Additionally, Oasi culturale in Rome will offer free multidisciplinary events throughout December in Municipi III and IV.
