December 2017 Art Exhibitions: Henrot's Digital Week, Ojih Odutola's Fictional Aristocrats, and Bamako's Afrotopia
Camille Henrot's exhibit 'Days are Dogs' at Palais de Tokyo in Paris is open until 7 January, featuring seven gallery spaces themed around each day of the week, accompanied by hashtags and works from fellow artists. At the Whitney Museum in New York, Toyin Ojih Odutola's 'To Wander Determined' showcases large-scale drawings of fictional Nigerian aristocratic families, available until 25 February. Andrew Grassie's paintings, displayed at Maureen Paley in London, illustrate imaginary artists' studios and are on view until 7 January. Jessica Jackson Hutchins is exhibiting at Boesky East in New York until 22 December, while Lesley Vance presents abstract works at Xavier Hufkens in Brussels through 16 December. Richard Jackson's installation at Galerie Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois in Paris is open until 23 December, and the 11th Bamako Encounters in Mali continues until 31 January. Otto Berchem's 'Dive for Dreams' can be seen at Ellen de Bruijne Projects in Amsterdam until 23 December, and Shaun Gladwell's '1,000 Horses' at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art is available until 24 February. Maria Hassabi will perform at K20 in Düsseldorf from 9 December to 21 January.
