Debate over Fascist-era art heritage in Romagna
A discussion regarding the artistic contributions of the Ventennio fascista continues in Romagna. Recently, 102 linear meters of mosaics depicting aviation history were unveiled at the former Collegio Aeronautico in Forlì. The Auditorium Conad-Città di Forlì, which was once the GIL cinema, is set to open on May 13, 2026. President De Pascale of Emilia-Romagna has allocated funds for the Colonia Varese in Cervia, and renovations have commenced on the Casa del Fascio in Predappio, constructed by Arnaldo Fuzzi between 1934 and 1937. Plans for a cultural center focused on Fascism were halted in 2010. Mauro Felicori has suggested establishing a museum dedicated to Italian art from the interwar period as part of the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome.
